About me
I am passionate about Special Education and meeting the needs of my students. I have four sons- my (biological) sons are 37, 35, and 22 and my youngest son (adopted) is 11. My 22year-old was a gifted student and my youngest son is a child with special academic and behavioral needs. My youngest has an IEP, a FBA, a safety plan. I have worked with children since I was five years old and my sister came into my life. =0) I moved from Texas to New Mexico in January 1996. I worked at private schools for 17 years before moving to Albuquerque Public Schools as a substitute, and EA, and now a dual-licensed teacher. I am currently teaching pre-k through 5th grade STEM and I love it. I am not afraid to speak my mind and will report things that are not being done when it comes to the needs of my own children or my students. Honesty and transparency are very important and expected when it comes to my children and my students and their needs.
