An overview of several foundational concepts within Applied Behavior Analysis. The training will also introduce a methodology to write accurate operational definitions of behavior, as well as demonstrate how to collect effective ABC data.

Enhancing Social and Emotional Skills and Reducing Problem Behaviors - Room 904

Managing transitions from energetic activities to more focused tasks is a challenge in many classrooms. This training equips educators with practical strategies and digital tools to support smooth, effective transitions without losing student engagement. Participants will explore ways to maintain classroom rhythm, reduce downtime, and keep students regulated and ready to learn. Participants will learn transition techniques to shift energy levels effectively, to explore digital tools that support classroom management and engagement, and develop transition routines that enhance focus and learning flow.

Mindfulness for the Skeptic - Room 905

Circle Up!: Restorative Circles for Relationship Building -Room 902

Community Building Circles are a restorative practice focused on strengthening relationships and creating a sense of belonging. This training equips educators with the skills to facilitate safe, inclusive circles that promote trust, accountability, and connection among students, staff, and families. Participants will learn core circle values and facilitation techniques, practice leading circles to build classroom and schoolwide community and develop strategies for integrating circles into daily routines.
Redirect and Implement Success Strategies - Room 904

This will review the definition of self efficacy, why it is important for both students and staff. Cover some basic strategies to support the development of this skill and specific strategies that can be used to support Self-Efficacy in the classroom.
Restorative Conversations/Peer Mediation - Room 902

This training introduces a proactive restorative practice designed for use with 2–3 individuals to address issues before they escalate. Participants will learn how to facilitate simple, non-adversarial conversations that focus on resolving the problem—not blaming the person. Emphasis is placed on training students, parents, and staff to use this tool to build communication, empathy, and shared accountability. Participants will practice restorative conversation techniques, learn to guide peer mediation with a problem-solving focus, and promote a school culture where conflict is addressed constructively.
Improving Trustworthy Behavioral Measurements to Support Students’ Outcome - Room 903

To ensure positive behavioral and academic outcomes for students, the reliability, validity, and accuracy of data collected are paramount. To achieve these three indicators of trustworthy measurement, the workshop will explore the goals of behavior measurement, the importance of incorporating the concept of interobserver agreement as part of classroom assessment tools and its basic calculation, the current research outcomes on procedural fidelity and social validity, and their relevance in improving the behavioral and academic outcomes of students.
