About me
Kristin Garletts is the EdTech resource teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools. She graduated from NAU and then began her career as a middle school teacher and elementary librarian in Flagstaff, Arizona for 3 years, before moving to Albuquerque in 2009. She taught for 8 years at Rio Rancho High School and then 3 years at Explore Academy. She taught 9th grade English, Yearbook, Newspaper, and ELD. Kristin has a Bachelor’s degree in English; teaching endorsements in Reading, Library, and ELL; is a National Board Certified teacher; and is Google Certified Trainer. Kristin loves her role as an Education Technology resource teacher. She finds learning about all the new technology and then helping teachers learn the tools both interesting and fulfilling. Her favorite technology tool to use is Google Classroom because it is a platform that allows for clear communication between students and teachers, helps everyone stay organized, and is so easy to use. Kristin is married to another APS teacher, and has twin daughters. In her free time she likes to read, make jewelry, draw, cook, and take walks and hike with her children.
