APS Summer Institute

June 9th, 10th, and 11th at Albuquerque High School

Inclusive Practices: A flexible professional development opportunity focused on inclusive practices and co-teaching designed for individuals or co-teaching teams.

  • Attend 3 hours in the morning (9;00-12:00) or afternoon (1:00-4:00). All morning session are repeated in the afternoon.
  • Attend any one, two, or three days of your choice.
  • Attend alone or with a co-teacher. There are specific sessions for co-teaching teams.

Monday Sessions: Inclusive Practices, Shared Classroom Values, Inclusive Tech Tools, Co-teaching models, Stations for mini-lessons and application

Tuesday Sessions: Research and the Law, Bridging the Gap-Special Ed and General Ed, Roles and Responsibilities-agreement, Backward Planning

Wednesday Sessions: Having Difficult Conversations, Modification, Accommodation, and Differentiation, Guided Planning

Behavior Supports
Join us for a powerful three-day series of Behavior Sessions designed to deepen your understanding of student behavior, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based strategies for classroom success! 
 
Led by expert BCBAs, intervention specialists, and education advocates, these sessions cover foundational topics such as ABC data collection, self-regulation, social-emotional learning, classroom management, trauma-informed practices, FBAs/BIPs, and more.
 
With engaging topics like “Mindfulness for the Skeptic,” “Restorative Circles,” and “Improving Trustworthy Behavioral Measurements,” this professional learning event is a must for educators looking to build stronger, more supportive learning environments.
